Message from the President
My name is Ryosuke Takahagi, and I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Japan Digital Advisory Council (JDACs) as a general incorporated association, and to assume the position of Representative Director.
We are now living in an era where digital technology and AI are not just a means to improve operational efficiency, but
will influence management, society, and institutions themselves.
On the other hand, digital investment and DX decision making is
highly specialized and intertwined with diverse interests, making it easy to lose sight of “what the right decision is.”
I have witnessed many decision-making processes in digital marketing and DX support, from
strategy planning to execution and validation.
What I have consistently found is that it is not the methods or tools that make the difference between success and failure, but the quality of decision making itself.
In many organizations, there are many situations where important digital investments are made without sufficient time or perspective to
address questions such as “Whose proposal should we believe?”, “Is the decision really valid?”, and “What is the basis for accountability? It is not uncommon for important digital investments to be made without sufficient time and perspective.
JDACs were established to organize, verify, and advise
decisions on such structural issues from the standpoint of a third party independent of interest.
We are not an organization that makes decisions on behalf of anyone else.
Nor are we in a position to endorse any particular vendor or methodology.
Our mission is solely to support an environment where decision makers can make decisions with conviction and accountability.
Neutrality, verifiability, and social integrity,” which JDACs stands for,
are not just principles, but prerequisites for decision making in the digital age.
A decision that is based on evidence, verifiable, and explainable to everyone.
We believe that the accumulation of these efforts will lead to sustainable use of digital technology for the organization and society.
Together with advisors, ambassadors, and experts, the CIPP will work to balance
expertise and social perspectives, and establish the new role of third-party advisory in society.
JDACs will continue to work faithfully, step by step, to become an entity that functions as a “reliable axis of decision-making” in the digital age.
Thank you for your continued support.
