Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms of Use is to set forth the matters related to the membership system of Japan Digital Advisory Council for Strategy
(hereinafter referred to as “the Council”). The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the smooth operation of the Organization and to achieve the objective of “providing neutral knowledge for digital decision-making in Japan.
Article 2 (Membership Types)
The membership of the corporation shall be divided into the following categories
- Regular Corporate Member
- Supporting Member
- Individual Member
- Academic/Public Membership
Article 3 (Admission)
Those who wish to become members shall apply for membership in the manner prescribed by the corporation and become members upon approval by the corporation.
Article 4 (Membership Fees)
Members shall pay the annual membership fee, which is determined separately by the corporation, by the prescribed date.
Membership fees already paid will not be refunded for any reason.
Article 5 (Rights of Members)
Members have the following rights, to the extent determined by the corporation
- Use of guidelines, materials, templates, etc. provided by the Corporation
- Participation in research groups, courses, events, etc.
- Use of the name and logo to the extent permitted by the Organization
Article 6 (Obligations of Members)
Members shall respect the philosophy of the Corporation and its neutrality, independence, and public nature as a third-party organization, and shall act with integrity.
Article 7 (Prohibited Matters)
Members shall not engage in any of the following activities
- Any action that undermines the neutrality or independence of the Corporation
- Actions aimed at improperly recommending or excluding specific vendors, products, services, etc.
- Misrepresentation, exaggeration, or inaccuracy using the name, accreditation, or deliverables of the Corporation
- Acts that violate laws and regulations, public order and morals, or these Terms and Conditions
Article 8 (Suspension and Expulsion)
If a member violates these Terms and Conditions or commits any act that seriously undermines the credibility of the corporation, the corporation may, by resolution of the Board of Directors, suspend or expel the member to the extent deemed appropriate.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Corporation shall not be liable for any consequences of the use of information, advice, etc. provided by the Corporation by its members, except as otherwise provided by law.
Article 10 (Modification of Terms and Conditions)
The Corporation reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time as necessary. The amended Terms and Conditions shall become effective upon posting on the Corporation’s website and after a reasonable period of dissemination.
