, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Corporation”) will comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and related laws and regulations, and will appropriately handle personal information obtained through the various services (membership, certification/examination, third-party reviews, surveys and research, events and publications, etc.) provided by the Corporation in accordance with the following policy.

Article 1 (Personal Information to be Obtained)

We may acquire the following personal information to the extent necessary to carry out our business activities.

  • Contact information such as name, affiliation, title, address, telephone number, and e-mail address
  • Information related to membership registration, application for certification/examination, and qualification management
  • History of participation in events, workshops, courses, etc.
  • Inquiry details and response history
  • Other information obtained incidental to our activities

Article 2 (Purpose of Use)

Personal information obtained will be used within the scope of the following purposes.

  1. Membership management, administration of certifications and examinations, and management of qualification status
  2. Information and communication regarding our activities, services, publications, events, etc.
  3. Research and studies, white papers, statistical data, benchmarks, etc. (* Used only after processing into a form that does not identify individuals)
  4. Analysis for service quality improvement and operational improvement
  5. Response in accordance with laws, regulations, or our Articles of Incorporation.

Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties)

KAC will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases

  • With the consent of the person in question
  • When required by law

Information obtained in the course of third-party review and evaluation services conducted by the Corporation will not be provided to third parties for business purposes.
*Note that the provision of personal information to subcontractors does not constitute the provision of personal information to a third party as defined in this Article.

Article 4 (Outsourcing)

KAC may outsource the handling of personal information to outside companies to the extent necessary for business operations. In such cases, we will appropriately contract with and supervise the outsourcing company.

Article 5 (Security Control Measures)

KAC will take reasonable organizational, technical, and physical security control measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information.

Article 6 (Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.)

When a person requests disclosure, correction, suspension of use, deletion, etc. of his/her own personal information, we will respond to the request appropriately and promptly in accordance with the law.

Article 7 (Revision of Privacy Policy)

The contents of this policy may be revised in accordance with amendments to laws and regulations or changes in the operating policies of the Corporation. The revised policy will become effective upon posting on our website.
